DO YOU OWN A BUSINESS IN TOWN?

If you have a corporation and file with the Secretary of State, then this does NOT apply to you.  If you are a Sole Proprietor and doing business under an assumed name, then State law requires a one-time registration for $10 at city hall.  In other words, if you own a business in a name other than your name, this applies to you.

You can fill it out and have it notarized at city hall.  The purpose is to enable the public and consumers to know whom they are dealing with or the true identity of the person behind the business.
